Founder & Principal Clinician
Richard created Gameplan to deliver physiotherapy and to optimise physical wellbeing and quality of life for all. He has developed a highly effective model of practice, honed over both a long career in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, as well as a lifelong love of physical activity, sports and the joy of movement. In both the UK and New Zealand, Richard has worked in both the pubic and private sectors for over 28 years. This has involved working with a broad spectrum of different client types with a vast array of injuries, mechanical issues, dysfunctions, disabilities and pain problems. In New Zealand, Richard was the team physiotherapist for Rugby union and Rugby league teams, and in both the UK and New Zealand he has worked with elite sports performers from youth through masters in sports diverse as Pentathlon to Power lifting and Rowing to Rhythmic Gymnastics, alongside the more traditional sports such as Rugby, Cricket, Hockey, Tennis and Soccer. As a person who has always loved sports, participating in many different sports and activities, Rich understands the commitment and drive associated with reaching sporting goals and also overcoming injuries and other challenges (in early 2019, Richard had to cope with fully rupturing his Achilles!).
